The Slippery Slope

"Like handshakes, house pets, or raw carrots, many things are preferable when not slippery."  The Slippery Slope by Lemony Snicket is 337 pages.  In the last book, The Baudelaires had to escape with Olaf while in disguise.  Olaf saw through their costumes and had escaped with Sunny, while Klaus and Violet were stranded in the Mortmain Mountains.  After a while of hitchhiking, the two orphans eventually find Quigley Quagmire, one of the Quagmire siblings who was thought to be dead from a fire and all three of them try to make it to the V.F.D. hideout.  Meanwhile, Sunny runs into two other villains.  Will the Baudelaires make it through this evil, evil tale?  Or will they prevail?
